Dr. Marcelo Murta works across Latin America, the South Pacific, and Africa, focusing on the role of museums and cultural heritage in advancing sustainable development. He has led initiatives with UNESCO, UNDP, OEI, the European Union, and national governments, with a focus on governance, public policy, and results-based project management. His work includes coordinating UNESCO’s regional programme on creativity and digital transformation in the Pacific, and supporting culture and development projects in Fiji, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
