Mina Al-Oraibi is Editor in Chief of The National, an Abu Dhabi based English-language regional news outlet, with extensive experience covering Middle Eastern, European and American affairs. She has conducted multiple high-profile interviews including with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia AlSoudani and European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde.
Previously, Mina was a Yale World Fellow and a Senior Fellow at the Institute for State Effectiveness working on policy recommendations for improved governance in the MENA region, focusing on Iraq and Syria.
Mina was formerly Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Asharq Alawsat, and its Washington Bureau Chief. She is a member of the International Media Council, and a member of the board of trustees of the American University in Iraq - Sulaimani.
