Egyptologist Dr. Christian Greco is Director of Museo Egizio in Torino, the world’s oldest museum devoted entirely to ancient Egyptian culture. He is responsible for leading the institution’s museography, scientific direction, and management.
His academic qualifications are from Italy and The Netherlands, and prior to his current position in Italy, he was curator of Egyptian department of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Leiden.
Dr. Greco serves on scientific committees of several international museums and research institutions, served as a member of the Epigraphic Survey of the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago in Luxor, is Co-director of the joint Dutch-Italian mission to Saqqara, and has taught museum studies in Italy and the Emirates.
