Bringing institutions together in collaborative projects has always been one of Kamini Sawhney’s passions. She works closely with global peers on initiatives that forge new and enduring partnerships.

She is committed to enabling South Asian voices to have a stronger presence and impact on the world stage. Raising knowledge and awareness of lesser known contemporary artforms, especially the living traditions unique to South Asia, is particularly important to her.

Kamini was the founding Director of Bengaluru’s Museum of Art & Photography, and currently heads the public arts project for BLR Hubba, a festival that aims to catalyse community engagement and bring the city’s public spaces to life.
