Dr. Debra A. Reid is Curator of Agriculture and the Environment at The Henry Ford. The museum’s focus is on exploring the American experience of innovation, ingenuity, and resourcefulness. She is on the museum’s Green Team which is responsible for benchmarking and managing its energy and water use, and for reducing waste by recycling and composting.

Dr. Reid is also Secretary of ICOM-SUSTAIN which leads ICOM’s mandate of addressing the climate emergency and supporting sustainable development through knowledge sharing, networks, commitment, and concrete action.

Her recent publications include Interpreting Agriculture at Museums and Historic Sites, and also Interpreting the Environment at Museums and Historic Sites, with David Vail.
