Nupur Prothi trained as a landscape architect and physical planner and has delivered award-winning social and physical infrastructure projects with a focus on Climate-neutral cities. She has over two decades of experience addressing environmental sustainability in the co-creation of public spaces with local communities.

She is a Member of the Board of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), where she focuses on the intersection of nature, culture, and community-led climate action. She is especially inspired by youth-led efforts.

A Senior Climate Expert with Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI Europe), Nupur Prothi, who is of Indian origin, currently works out of the ICLEI’s Brussels office and lives in Stockholm.
