Nasir Al Darmaki began his career as a curator for the Sharjah Archaeology Museum, and was later Manager of Strategic Planning for the 16 museums of the Sharjah Museums Authority.

Currently, Nasir serves as the Deputy Director of the ICCROM Regional Centre in Sharjah where he oversees all professional development and on-site projects aimed at cultural heritage preservation and management in the Arab region. This involves coordinating efforts to safeguard cultural heritage in conflict zones, ensuring that the rich history, art, museums and cultural identity of these regions is preserved for future generations.

Nasir is also Chair of ICOM UAE and jointly leads the hosting of ICOM Dubai 2025.
