About
Youth Power—Co-Creation, Activism, and Digital Fluency
Today’s youth tend to be technology and trend savvy, creative, innovative, compassionate, and curious, but they are also vulnerable to a 24-7 virtual avalanche of information and images that target them to think and behave in certain ways. How do museums connect, inspire, and engage them in this crowded environment of fast-paced and constantly changing messages, images, and modes of digital communication?
Through presentations and interactive discussions, ICOM COMMS (former MPR) will address topics of interest to museum communicators, marketers, fundraisers, and community engagement specialists, including youth-led marketing initiatives, intergenerational engagement strategies, and youth-focused fundraising models.
