The Present and Future of Social Museology
The session will include four keynote speakers with different approaches to the current state and the future of Social Museology in their regions. Presenters will cover topics spanning from the development of community-based museums and heritage organisations, to their challenges and potentials in the preservation of heritage. Case studies will include examples of collaborative projects based on a relational ethics, the participation of community in larger institutions and the practice of experimental museologies in grassroots organisations.
