Trained as an architect and ethnologist, Penelope Theologi-Gouti is Head Curator at the Science and Technology Museum at the University of Patras where she is responsible for exhibitions, operations, education and other programmes. The Museum operates on the university campus as a Laboratory of the School of Natural Sciences and was founded with the intent of connecting the university with the broader community.
Her research and publications focus on museum documentation, museum organisation, sustainable development and the Science and Technology Museum.
Penelope is currently Chair of the ICOM Resolutions Committee and of ICOM Greece. She is a founding member of ICOM UMAC- the International Committee for University Museums and Collections to which she has served as Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice-Chair.
