National Ainu Museum
Liu Gaoli’s expertise includes multilingual exhibition curating, public engagement, and research translation, focused on cultural representation, language accessibility, and inclusive storytelling. She is currently Research and Curatorial Fellow at the National Ainu Museum.
She has museum experience in East Asia, and has undertaken anthropological fieldwork across South and Southeast Asia. Her languages include fluency in Chinese, English, and Japanese, with proficiency in Urdu and Hindi for effective cross-cultural communication. She contributes to international projects on digital curating and intercultural collaboration, and considers herself to be curious, grounded.
Liu Gaoli is a member of the ICOM Resolutions Standing Committee, and General Secretary for the ICOM International Committee for Audiovisual, New Technologies and Social Media.
